Rest - yes, in the form of a cruise

Love it or hate it, or never tried one because you think they're for older people...I recently returned from my second Norwegian Fjords cruise. The first was pre-pandemic with a different company. Every now and then I do embark on this kind of downtime as I have a parent that has a penchant for cruises.
Whilst some parts of it were challenging - service was not as good as previously and it was half term meaning that a significant figure of the 4000 or so passengers were youngsters, it is possible to switch off and disconnect. In 7 days, I was connected for no more than 3 hours.
What did the week of wins look like:
I watched three films - one in the onboard cinema and two in the cabin
I finished one new book and started another that I first read when it was published a decade ago - as always, in both cases, the timing is perfect for the message that needs to land
A lot of sleep - particularly days 1-2 and the final day. There is something in your body naturally going in that direction when you've scheduled rest. I think being at sea lends itself to it some more.
Exercise most days - just different to what would be happening at home. A combination of walks on the deck, chair squats, weights in the gym, and some time at the golf nets.
Coffee - again, 3 half bad cups all week. I was trying to go caffeine free and probably could have managed it, but it is a drug of sorts....so the odd top up was fine.
Lemon hot water every day - and general increased water consumption
All said and done, switching off and the fresh sea air gave me the mental rest that I didn't know I needed. Physically rested in some respects also...onwards to the final leg of this 12-week block!
