Day One - Career Planning: A Day of Idea Generating
It's that time of year again! Following on from our previous career development workshops, we will be returning to The Grange in Ealing and this time taking over the plush study for our career development workshop! It is scheduled to run 29th July 2017. We will help you focus on generating ideas and exploring different options whether you consider yourself self-employed, in start-up mode or just need to revitalise your existing career!
This workshop is for you if:
- You are ready to invest some time in yourself and focus on career change and direction
- You have experienced redundancy and thinking about next steps
- You recognise that your career is a core part of your life plan and are focusing on aligning it with other aspects of your life.
Day Two - Plan to Project: A Day of Implementation
'Ideas are Easy. Implementation is Hard.' Guy Kawasaki
So the fun part is over. Now to focus on the specifics and resources required to get you there. Join us for a day of turning your ideas or plans into a workable project to focus on. Who is this day for?
- Those of you who joined us on Day 1!
- Those of you who have attended our previous workshops and want to review/refresh where you are.
- Anyone who already has ideas as to their next step or next-next step and would like an environment in which to work on them
Does it work? Yes, we're living proof!
We pride ourselves on bringing people from diverse backgrounds together. All you need to bring with you is a sense of fun, trust and all those ideas that are bursting to get some air time! Due to the nature of this session, we require a minimum number of participants to run and deliberately keep the maximum number of attendees low to ensure everyone gets the best out of the experience.
*Warning* There will be a lot of sticky notes involved throughout the weekend!

Following on from our previous successful workshops, Portfolio People hosted their career development workshop in London on the 16th January 2016. It was for those who were interested in developing their own start-up but need professional guidance and support, or for those at crossroads in their career and needed inspiration and motivation towards their next step.
The workshop consisted of an introduction by Portfolio People, a background on the company and how it was established. This was followed by an introduction by the facilitator, networking session, group activities to share their experiences with the other attendees and what they wished to accomplish in the workshop. The afternoon session involved individual tasks pertaining to career development and start-up related activities but was also completed in groups according to preference.

Autumn Social
The event took place in London at ‘The Boot and Flogger’ and was from 5:30pm – 8:30pm.
It was a great opportunity to exchange stories and get to know other portfolio people in a relaxed environment. This event was also a success with many who went saying they would attend future Portfolio People events.

This was Portfolio People's first social event. Many like-minded portfolio professionals attended and it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day. Considering it was the company's first social, it was a huge success!
